Cub Run Cave, Kentucky

We toured Cub Run Cave in Cub Run, Kentucky. This cave
was recommended to us by the owners of the Singing Hills RV
Park and Campground in Cave City, Kentucky. Great cave.
Cost for tour is $14 per adult, however, we were able to
show our campground receit and got a $1 off per ticket.
Once again, Gary and I were the only 2 people on the tour.
Our guide, Melinda, was great. What an imagination she has.
There were not many stairs in this cave, however, they are
working on a new entrance which will have over 160 stairs,
but they have not decided if this should be at the beginning
or end of the tour. This cave also has crickets, bats, spiders,
blind crayfish, blind fish, and salamanders. Click on our
travel photos for pictures of salamanders and a neat
spider.

Calcite formations

I was lucky to get this pool of water with the ripples. During
the first tours, they let people drink from this pool using
a dipper. The dipper is still at the bottom of the pool.
