My uncle Roger was visiting us so mom decided that we would take a day and visit Yosemite National Park. We entered the park via the entrance near the big trees. Then drove to Glacier point. After visiting Glacier Point, we drove down to the Valley floor. Saw the movie that the park has to offer, great one. Had lunch at the grill, got to see a bear, and were able to watch a couple of mountain climbers on El Capitan. It was a beautiful day in the park.

Los Banos, Ca has many wildlife preserves. One of the reserves has tule elk. We took our friend out to see them one day.
Monterey Bay Aquarium is my favorite aquarium. If I still lived in Ca., I would have a membership and go every month. Our friend from Kansas arrived on Monday so Tuesday we made our yearly trip to the Aquarium and Fisherman’s wharf. We ate at the Fish Hopper and were very happy with our meal. Then we took a drive on the coast. Finished the day with some fried artichokes. Great stuff.
The weather was beautiful so Gary and I decided to take a trip over to Monterey. We thought we would visit the Aquarium and have lunch on Fisherman’s Wharf. We were surprised that there were no lines to get into the aquarium and that we were able to park close to the entrance. Not very many people touring the aquarium. We were able to take a free 10 minute tour behind the scenes. Great tour, got to see iddy biddy jelly fish. The cost has sure gone up since our last visit. We paid $29 per adult. Had lunch in the small café inside, $10 for a hamburger and fries. Maybe the cost has something to do with how few people were touring the aquarium.
On our behind the scenes tour, we were able to see baby scuttle fish and got to watch them feed. Very interesting.
