We were fortunate to be in Cody for the 4th of July. We left the campgrounds on our way to the Historical center only to discover we would arrive in time for the parade; so, we found a rock to sit on and enjoyed the day.

As most of you know, I enjoy watching birds. So I was really happy when I found out that the Buffalo Bill Historical Center had a bird program. The birds have all been rescued. They do not do any tricks. Their handlers bring them out and tell about that specific species of bird. Really great information.
This was our third visit to the Buffalo Bill Historical Center in Cody, Wy. We never get tired of touring the Plains Indians Sections, so much to see. We always notice things we failed to see during our previous visits. This time, we visited with our friends from Kansas. Always neat to take friends along on our journeys.

Trail End was built in 1913 by John Kendrick. The home offers a glimpse into life during the period of 1913 to 1933. John arrived in this area as a trail rider on a cattle drive in 1879. He went on to become rich. He was also Governor of Wyoming and a United States Senator. The house is a self-guided tour, only $4 per person. Lots of interesting things to see.
This was the vacuum cleaner. There were receptacles in every room where the maid plugged in the vacuum hose.
