National Music Museum, Vermillion, SD

This is a fantastic museum!!!!!!!  I couldn’t stop saying “Wow” every time we entered a new gallery full of musical instruments of all kinds.  The collection consists of 13,500 instruments from all cultures and historical periods.  There are 9 different galleries. We donated $7 each and took advantage of the audio/visual mp3 player.  We were able to hear and see various instruments being played.  Gary was so impressed that he let his lunch time go by without complaining.  This museum is well worth the time and effort.  It is located on the University of South Dakota campus.
