Pima Air Museum, Tucson, Arizona

Gary and I really enjoy going to air museums.  Pima Air Museum is the second largest, second only to the Smithsonian.  We have been to this museum a total of three times.  Each time we go, we always see something new.  This time we took the guided tram tour.  We really had a great guide.  He was an ex-air force pilot who flew in Viet Nam.  They are in the process of building another hanger, so that means that we will have to return in the future.  I have divided my photos into two groups, Pima Air museum hangers, and Pima Air Museum outside tour.

P1010044

Blackbird.  Huge plane.

P1010118

Bumble Bee, smallest plane.  Could fly only 20 miles.  Cockpit was bolted down once pilot was seated.

P1310375

Largest plane on display.
