Theodore Roosevelt National Park, South
We enjoyed our visit to Theodore Roosevelt National Park, South. We took the 35 mile drive through the park and were able to see some buffalo, wild horses, and praire dogs. The park is gorgeous. Lots of different land formations. The park also offers a museum at the park center. Inside the museum is various items that belonged to President Roosevelt, including the undershirt he was wearing when he was shot, and various guns that he owned. Outside the center, they have the Maltese Cross Ranch House that Roosevelt lived in when he owned property in North Dakota. The ranger gave a guided tour of the house and provided us with lots of information about the president. Later that afternoon, we attended a show called "Bully" in Medora, ND, which featured Chris Lowry in a 45 minute act of President Roosevelt. Very well done. If you get to Medora and this show is showing, be sure to attend.
