Medora, ND

Medora, ND is a neat little town. It is home to Theodore Rooselvelt National Park, South, the Medora Musical, and a lot of other things. We attended the Medora Musical. Great show. We really enjoyed the Mapapa Acrobats from Kenya, Africa. It's amazing what those guys can do. The show starts at 8:30. For those who would like to have dinner, they have a pitch-fork fondue. They put steaks on a pitch fork and fry them in grease. Gary and I chose to skip that and had dinner at the Cowboy Cafe in Medora. Great dinner. Before the show, a cowboy herds 2 elk up to the top of a hill behind the theater. Really makes for great pictures. The show also included a short re-enactment of Teddy's charge up San Juan Hill. If you attend the show on Tuesday, they give a 15% discount to seniors, on Wednesday, the show is half-price for children. We also went to the Harold Schafer Heritage Center which has a museum with the products that Harold made famous, such as Mr. Bubble, Glass Wax, and Snowy Bleach. Oh yes, we also visited the Medora Fudge and Ice Depot for a bowl of homemade ice cream.
