Isleton, California

We have been in Isleton for two weeks. We are going to be here for at least 1-4 more weeks. Gary has been fishing most every day. His largest fish so far has been 23 inches long. While we were in the area we had lunch at Foster's Bighorn. Foster's Bighorn was designed to be a trophy haven where people could see animals of the world. There are over 300 heads of wild animals, birds, and fish from every part of the globe. The last trophy was the elephant which was hung in 1952. Foster shot 95% of the animals himself. Every time Foster went on a hunting trip, he made sure to take a taxidermist along with him to make sure all the taxidermy steps to preserve the heads were properly done. If you make it to Rio Vista, be sure to stop in and see this collection.
